Wondering where to get Mod Chips? Check out some of the links on the following
pages to visit vendors that sell Mod Chips. I'm working on getting a site up so that
I can distribute Mod Chips, so keep your eye on this page in the future. But in the
meanwhile, if you don't want to buy a Mod Chip, maybe you want to take the more
experienced root, and burn your own chips. Burning chips is simple. The links
on the next page will give you all the information you need to burn, and install your own
Mod Chips.
Need to know how to determine the model of your PSX? Turn it over, and look on
the label. You should see SCPH XXXX in the upper right corner. Where XXXX is
the revision of your mainboard. The date your PSX was created is located in the
bottom left corner of the label. PSX's produced before January 1996 are referred to
as the 100X/300X OLD mainboards.
